Join us for a new type of class using a tool called The Wired Word. It seeks to connect recent news headlines with relevant scripture. Karl Barth famously said preachers should prepare with the Bible in one hand and a newspaper in the others, always aware of both while putting the scriptures at the forefront. Each week, a group will gather in the Parlor and on Zoom, on Sunday morning at 9:30AM for discussion of The Wired Word before worship. Each week will be different so feel free to drop in any time!
Sunday services are held at 10:30am in our traditional, beautiful sanctuary. Our services, groups, and missions are open to all. Please enter from the main doors on Willits St. We look forward to seeing you! |

Join us for a new book study of Diana Butler Bass’s book, A People’s History of Christianity, on Monday mornings on Zoom at 10AM. This book looks beyond the rich and powerful who usually dominate historical accounts of all types to see what was happening for the more average person. In other words, it seeks to tell a story we can relate to, and it does it well.
Our Monday night class will have its first gathering of the year on September 14th at 7PM. We will be a hybrid class, in person in the parlor and on Zoom for all who would like to join in. This has been a lively gathering with room for more! We will spend our first session choosing our first study for the year. |
