Career Dress Services is committed to promoting the economic independence of low/moderate income women in Southeast Michigan by providing professional attire for women actively seeking employment. Since 2002, it has served nearly 5,000 women. Their Career Dress Boutique in Pontiac is a completely self-funded, non-profit 501c3, and operated by a staff of 15 dedicated volunteers. They assist clients by referral only, and women must have a job interview scheduled or be in a job-training program before receiving clothing. Clients come from over 75 different agencies including State of Michigan Welfare-to Work programs, Michigan Rehabilitation Services, and Department of Human Services. Career Dress relies on the financial contributions, donations, and volunteer efforts of individuals and companies in Southeast Michigan. A donation of $50-$75 dresses a woman for an interview. We welcomed Lois Boyd, President of the Board of Directors, to tell us about this nonprofit after worship in the parlor on Sunday, February 1st. Your offering will help equip women for success in the workplace. |

We will gather on Monday nights at 7 PM for a class again this Fall. Our first session will be on September 8th. The group will look over potential topics and formats for the next few months and decide on a direction together. This will be a vibrant gathering if past performance is any indication! |

The men meet on Zoom at 8:00am on Thursdays for conversation and fellowship. This weekly group will meet January through April. 
This weekly group offers support, friendship, and ministry opportunities with a primary focus on serving women and girls locally and globally. They meet on Zoom at 10am every Thursday. 
Candlelight Concerts bring the magic of a live, multi-sensory musical experience to awe-inspiring locations like never seen before in Detroit. Get your tickets here to discover a variety of music at Sanctuary Church Birmingham under the gentle glow of candlelight (tickets are sold exclusively by Fever, not by the church or at the door). Join us in the Fellowship Hall on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM for our Discipleship Class. Dinner is provided, followed by a class taught by Sanctuary's Teaching Pastor, Rev. John Miller. It's a great night of food, fellowship, and learning. All are welcome. |

Our annual Ash Wednesday service will take a different format this year. We will gather at 7PM on February 18th to share together in “A Place For Quiet”, a time of quiet reflection and several prayer stations to form our evening. Ashes will be available as part of the prayer time, with other stations to help stimulate our thinking and our acting in faith. It is intended for all ages. Rev. John Miller will offer another Ash Wednesday service at noon on February 18th via Zoom for everyone who cannot make it out for the evening service. We hope to see you at one (or both) of our services this year, all are welcome! |
