Chance for Life (CFL) was founded in 1992 by Tom Adams and Jessica Taylor to help inmates in Michigan prisons reintegrate into the community through mentorship and job training. CFL serves former prisoners, their families, low-income individuals, and people with disabilities by providing family reintegration and referrals for legal services, substance use prevention, mental and medical health care, and food and clothing. They collaborate with organizations that offer job training, housing, and food and utility assistance. Corporate sponsors include the Detroit Police Dept., Goodwill Industries, Michigan Works, Matrix Human Services, Michigan Dept. of Corrections, and Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries. On June 1st, Mr. Adams and Ms. Taylor will present their expertise on CFL’s mission and services during a Mission Moment after worship.
