NEXT, the name of the Birmingham Senior Center, has served the residents of Birmingham, Bingham Farms, Beverly Hills, Franklin, and surrounding areas since 1978. Their motto describes their mission: “Your place to stay active and connected.” They help seniors put the pieces together to find opportunities to enroll in a fitness, art or computer class or attend a speaker series. They can receive Meals on Wheels, get transportation on a Smart bus, a free consultation with an attorney or referrals to other services. Income qualified seniors can receive volunteer help or financial aid for yard services or home repairs. Your support will keep NEXT growing and thriving since they receive little municipal support and rely on donations from those who value the contributions of older adults.
