Mission Moment
The Parlor 300 Willits St, BirminghamZaman's Rising Hope Bakery is supported by two state-of-the-art commercial kitchens where women receive professional culinary arts training, complete apprenticeships, and secure employment. The bakery creates delicious product-to-market items that help fund onsite employment opportunities for these women. Alongside Zaman’s Good Deeds Resale Shop, Client-Choice Food Pantry and Literacy and Sewing Centers, the bakery is central to efforts to provide holistic client-centric services including everything from food and clothes to entrepreneurship training and onsite employment opportunities. Gary Waxler, the bakery director, will be at Sanctuary after worship on Sunday, August 7 to give an overview of Zaman and bring their delicious cookies for our treats.
