Fellowship Hall 300 Willits St, BirminghamCitizens for Peace Education Fund The mission of the Citizens for Peace is to be responsive community leaders centered on learning, educating, and facilitating the practices and principles of non-violence in the world. August Offering Citizens for Peace is a group of concerned citizens in Wayne and Oakland counties, dedicated to creating a more peaceful world. Since Veteran's Day 2003, they have worked tirelessly to provide resources about peace and nonviolence to the community. organized into three areas: 1. Growing as peacemakers 2. Educating on nonviolence 3. Influencing the political agenda The Education Fund is a nonprofit 501(c3) organization focused on educating students about the history and values of nonviolence. It provides these resources to local communities: A 1200 title Nonviolence and Peacebuilding bibliography for adults and youth available on the internet. Peacemaking books to various libraries and hospitals. Peacemaking displays to local libraries A Get Involved Guide with peacemaking information and activities for students Since the fund depends on the support of its members and friends of peace, your Mission Offering will help deliver their message to our neighboring communities.
