Mission Moment
Sanctuary Church 300 Willits St, BirminghamThe Outreach team has chosen to partner with the afterschool program, Bound Together, again this year because of their outstanding work with elementary students to foster personal and academic excellence. They continue to serve the Pontiac community since starting at All Saints Episcopal Church in 1994. Joining with other community sponsors, children receive free tutoring, enrichment activities, and a hot meal. Trained volunteers engage students in writing, reading and math curriculum. Every phase of the program supports their mission to serve the whole child in a caring community, nurturing self-worth, and academic growth. Michele Wogaman, Program Director, will be joining us on November 6th to share more about the work being done at Bound Together.
